The great outdoors - a Scout’s natural habitat! If you’re a leader looking for the perfect place to camp and enjoy some amazing activities with your group, we’ve got just the place… Actually, we have seven.
Scout Activity Centres are run to provide our volunteers across the UK with consistent, high-quality experiences, whether you’re bringing your group to us for an event, a full programme of instructor-led activities, or just to camp.
You might be an experienced leader confident in running all elements of your camp yourself, a complete beginner who would like to work with our instructors to run the perfect outdoor experience and pick up some new skills along the way, or somewhere in between. Our helpful and knowledgeable staff will work with you as much or as little as you need.
We also run a number of events throughout the year tailored to our sections and leaders – these include Campdowne, Beaver and Cub Fundays, Wintercamp, Gilwell 24, Emergency Help Action Day, open days and more. Through 2012 and beyond we are also launching badge courses, Outdoor Challenge weekends and leader events across our centres – check the events page for details of upcoming dates or call your nearest centre to find out more.
Badge courses can also be booked just for your group as an add-on to your trip, meaning that your group can come away from their outdoor adventure with one or more badges as well as a wealth of amazing experiences and fun memories. To find out more about badge courses and what's available across our centres for 2012, you can now view our Making Achieving Easy e-magazine online.
